Sylvia Plath Unpublished Work Acquired
A collection of unpublished personal material by Sylvia Plath has been acquired by Yale’s Beinecke Library. The compilation of personal literature includes letters written to and from her mother, brother, and husband, Ted Hughes.
Michelle Light, Director of Beinecke Library, commented, “This is likely the only major archive related to Sylvia Plath that isn’t already in an institutional library.”
Library of Congress Accepting Applications
Applications for the Literacy Awards Program are now open through February 17th, 2026. The award “recognizes organizations that provide exemplary, innovative, and replicable strategies to promote literacy in the United States and abroad.”
The Library, alongside an advisory board of literacy experts, will choose the winners to be announced in September.
